Hackney Impact

Support for small businesses in Hackney.

What is Hackney Impact?

Hackney Impact is a business support programme delivered by a consortium and commissioned by Hackney Council.

It focused on providing practical business support to Hackney-based small businesses and social enterprises across a range of sectors.

Funding for the current programme ended in March 2026 and Hackney Council is now exploring options for a new phase.

In the meantime, you can learn more about the programme below and read about other support available from Hackney Council and its partners on our find business support page.

In 2022, 330 Hackney businesses benefited from £2.5 million in Council investment. This enabled projects to help make businesses greener, more inclusive, and more resilient.

These initiatives reached 237,000 people, bringing in more than £2 million in further external investment to Hackney, and saw over £500,000 spent locally.

A further £500,000 investment saw businesses receive over 3,000 hours of targeted business development and training support. This helped local enterprises to start up, grow, or improve their resilience.
